Come and visit the archaeologists and see how they work. Anyone interested is welcome to drop by on Tuesday, July 18 between 13-15, where the archaeologists will talk about the excavation and the early Iron Age in West Jutland.
A little about the excavation:
The archaeologists at Ringkøbing Fjord Museer are currently digging in part of an Iron Age settlement just east of Ringkøbing. Here we find traces of a large number of house sites from the earliest Iron Age, dating from around 2,500 years ago. The excavation is something special. Although it is not uncommon to find house sites from this period, the good preservation conditions and the fact that so many house sites were found within such a small area is something very special.
Convenient:
Date: July 18 at 13-15
Location: Herningvej 95, 6950 Ringkøbing, Denmark
