Skjern Reberbane - The longest house in Skjern!

Reberbanen is a strange building. At just a few meters wide, it looks quite small when you see it from the front, but don't be fooled! The building is almost 100 meters long and quite a sight when you enter. In the old days, this is where the rope maker made ropes for all sorts of purposes: sewing ropes for ships, ropes for ringing the church bell and the rigging for traditional Danish horse-drawn carriages. Reberbanen is only open a few times a year and is otherwise open to groups.
