On the beautiful path from Ringkøbing to Naturkraft stands a very special construction. It has been created with the aim of exploring older traditional building techniques and the qualities and recreations of different natural materials for use in future outdoor construction projects, scenography, architectural, sound and visual art installations and sculptures.
The intention is not to copy or reconstruct the material use and handling of the past in either a historical architectural or traditional craftsmanship sense, but to seek practical and visual inspiration, as well as new and sustainable methods, possibilities and expressions.
The construction is made under a very low budget, a minimum of the materials are purchased, otherwise they are donated and or collected in the local area. The construction is primarily created in the first two weeks of August 2024 and completed by the Art-Nature LAB workshop participants on August 15, 2024. It is expected to remain standing for a longer period to follow and document its, and the individual materials', natural durability, degradation and thus transformation, practically and aesthetically.
This construction is the result of a collaboration between Teatret Om, the association ET4U (by visual artists Johanne Randen, Karen Havskov Jensen and Klavs Weiss) and architect Dragana Kojicic. For further information about the construction contact Teatret OM.
