Ringkøbing Archive and Museum Association
Ringkøbing Museumsforening was founded in 1908 with the aim of creating a museum in Ringkøbing. This succeeded! Since 1922, Ringkøbing Museum and the association has had its current address in Ringkøbing.
The association manages Ringkøbing Local History Archive by agreement with Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality, and has therefore changed its name to Ringkøbing Archive and Museum Association.
The purpose of the association is with special focus on Ringkøbing Museum:
- to support Ringkøbing Fjord Museer in financial and practical terms
- to spread awareness of the museum's work
- Strengthen interest in the museum's work as a cultural institution through lectures and other events
