Join the Vikings at the market!

When the Vikings went to summer markets, they traded skins and amber for silk fabrics and spices - and the marketplace was buzzing with trade, stories and glory to be restored.

On August 8-10, Bork Vikingehavn opens the gates to this year's Viking Market, where you can experience everything a real market entails: authentic Viking crafts, Icelandic horses, a real Viking tattoo artist - and of course a bunch of crazy jugglers.

The market offers experiences for the whole family. Children can bake flatbread over a campfire, shoot a bow and arrow and play on the Viking playground. And when hunger strikes, the menu offers everything from a sandwich inspired by Viking-era ingredients to a cold draft beer and ice cream.

Look forward to an atmospheric weekend like 1000 years ago!

You learn a lot

It's well worth a visit. You'll learn a lot about fishing and the history of Hvide Sande. You can look at the fish in the aquariums. Very nice.

Very nice lighthouse with excellent views. If you are in the area, you should check it out. We were there at sunset and it was gigantic.
