Marking the 80th anniversary of the murder of Kaj Munk

On January 4, 1944, Kaj Munk was picked up at the vicarage by his executioners on a cold January evening. His body was found the next day at Hørbylunde Bakker just west of Silkeborg. To mark the 80th anniversary of Kaj Munk's murder, the Circle of Friends of Kaj Munks Præstegård is organizing a commemoration that starts at Vedersø Church and continues at Kaj Munks Præstegård.
80th birthday program
Vedersø Church:
- 13.30 Memorial service in Vedersø Church by vicar emeritus Svend Aage Nielsen.
- 14.15 Wreath laying at the grave in Vedersø cemetery.

2:45 p.m.
- Welcome by Jon Høgh
- Memorial speech by Vice Chairman of the Kaj Munk Society, Professor Peter Øhrstrøm, Aalborg University.
- Information about the upcoming exhibition in the farmhouse by museum curators Christian Ringskou and Caroline Larsen, Ringkøbing Fjord Museer.
The event is free and open to all. Registration is not required.
