Café Lise

Elise (Lise) Marie Jørgensen married Kaj Munk on January 13, 1929.

Vedersø Præstegård was also her home. It was here that she raised her children, created a home for her family, but it was also where Nazi henchmen took her husband. After the murder of Kaj Munk, the priest, she and her children moved out of the vicarage. In 1948, Lise Munk and the then minister of the church agreed that she could stay in the vicarage in Vedersø for as long as she wanted. She stayed until her death.

The café at Kaj Munks Præstegård is therefore appropriately named after Kaj Munk's wife.

In the café you can buy coffee, cake and other delicacies. It is also possible to enjoy your food in the beautiful surroundings around Kaj Munks Præstegård. There are several tables and benches for free use.
