The blue anemone
The beautiful park at Kaj Munks Præstegård hides its own history. Planting began in the early 1800s, and since then each new priest has left his personal mark. The park consists mainly of lush deciduous trees, which grow abundantly despite the harsh West Jutland weather.
Kaj Munk also left his mark on the park. It was here that he planted the blue anemones that he - as it says in the poem of the same name - had picked up on his native island of Lolland. Monk also had a canal established so that he could sail directly from the garden out onto Nørresø. The flag mound was made from the excess soil from the canal excavation.
