May 4th event in the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Denmark

The Friends of Kaj Munks Præstegård , in collaboration with Ringkøbing Fjord Museums, invites you to a candlelit evening to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Denmark.

The evening includes sing-alongs, unseen films from the liberation days, presentations about West Jutland during the occupation, a concert with Vokal Vest and a torchlight parade in the vicarage park.

Join us to celebrate this important anniversary for Denmark and sing the songs from the Danish songbook.

Program for the evening

19:30: Welcome by the chairman of the Circle of Friends
19.35: Sing-along
19:45: Christian Ringskou, Deputy Head of Ringkøbing Fjord Museums, shows films from Ringkøbing during the occupation, and Lulu Anne Hansen, museum curator and senior researcher, gives a presentation on her research under the heading "West Jutland was an area full of contradictions during the occupation".
20:40: Sing-along
20:50: Coffee, tea and cake
21:30: Vokal Vest sings under the direction of organist Klaus V. Jensen
22.00: Former Head of Culture in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality, Per Høgh Sørensen, speaks shortly before the sing-along and torchlight procession

Price: DKK 125 for members and DKK 200 for non-members.

Prior to the event at Kaj Munks Præstegård , it will be possible to attend an evening service in Stadil Church at 6:30 pm by parish priest Trine S. Parbo.
