Mussolini
Benito Mussolini, known as 'il Duce' (the leader), seized power in Italy in 1922 and was the country's fascist dictator until 1945. Although Mussolini's form of rule was authoritarian right-wing radicalism, he sold himself as the charismatic leader who cared about his people. He was known for his highly energetic speeches.
