Audio exhibition about Kaj Munk's life
The focus is on Kaj Munk's life - and especially the fateful events of January 4, 1944 - in the exhibition "What happened?", which tells the story of Kaj Munk.
The exhibition, located in renovated rooms in the farmhouse of the vicarage, takes visitors through Kaj Munk's life via sound and live wallpaper, with a special focus on January 4, 1944, when he was taken by Nazi henchmen and assassinated.
Nominated for international awards
“What on earth happened?” was created in collaboration with the internationally renowned design firm Tinker Imagineers. In the spring of 2025, the exhibition was among the nominees for the International Exhibition of the Year, presented by the British Museums + Heritage Awards.
In December 2025, the exhibition received yet another prestigious nomination—this time for EMYA 2026 – the European Museum of the Year Award, the most prestigious museum award in Europe.
