New Full Dome Experience about wind power

Every day 10:00-16:00

One of Naturkraft's distinctive domes has now been transformed into a new full dome experience. Once you're seated, the lights turn off and the dome becomes a giant canvas above you. You are now taken on a journey through the history of wind power. From the first gust of wind to the green future. From the medieval stump mill found in the area where Naturkraft is located today, to the Dutch wind turbines erected around Ringkøbing Fjord. The story also takes you on the West Jutland wind adventure: the first pioneers and their dream of green energy. It all ends with a glimpse into the future. After the movie, you can experience an exhibition with the grinding stone of the stump mill, where you can get close to the mechanical parts of the large wind turbines and out on the North Sea to the offshore wind turbines of the future.

Build with nature

Can you build something that can withstand the westerly winds? 

When building houses, wind turbines and other structures, the forces of nature have always had to be kept in mind when building here in West Jutland, because if what you built couldn't withstand the west wind or possible flooding, you wouldn't last long on the west coast. 

Every day, you and your family can try your hand at using nature's resources to build something yourself that can withstand the forces of nature! 

Bake your own herb bread 

Every day from 13:30-15:30

We've gathered the season's shoots and made delicious treats from them. Stop by our fire pit, where we've lit a fire so you can bake your own herb bread while you learn how you and your family can collect herbs when you next head out into the nature of West Jutland. 

Dig like the archaeologists

Every day from 10-15:30

Arm yourself with a shovel and a brush and try your very first excavation in Naturkraft's large sandpit. You might be lucky enough to find some bones, potsherds or other interesting items that can be traced back to West Jutland's past - but hey, there might also be more recent items left behind from our time!

Go on an expedition in the nature of West Jutland:

Join us on an expedition and experience the fascinating phenomena of nature in Western Jutland. Through small experiments and tasks, you will explore natural elements such as water, wind and temperature. Armed with the right equipment and a great deal of curiosity, fun activities await you when you go on an expedition in Naturkraft. 

As proof that you have completed your expedition, you can create your own badge to attach to your clothes or school bag.
