Taste Christmas - an edible lecture about Christmas in Denmark

"First you show the tree, then you eat it!" Christmas presents, Christmas tree, Christmas food - everything should be exactly the same. But what is it like now? Why do we eat the Christmas food we do? Why do we walk around the tree? And why do some people eat duck while others have roast pork?

This afternoon you can get up close and personal with Christmas traditions - and not least Christmas food. Through a lively lecture, we will eat and sing our way through the Danish Christmas traditions - from the earliest forms of Christmas to the Christmas we celebrate today.

Through Christmas food, we will learn more about the history of Christmas. We will taste our way through more than 2000 years of Christmas - with herring, Christmas cookies and other Christmas delicacies.
