Come and get a glimpse of what life was like in Hvide Sande and on Holmsland Klit during World War II.

Open House at “
” On Wednesday, May 13, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., we’re hosting an open house to celebrate the opening of a brand-new exhibition at Fiskeriets Hus. In “A Glimmer in the Dark – Bunkers and the Occupation at Holmsland Klit,” you’ll meet fishermen, freedom fighters, and a lighthouse keeper without a lighthouse.

You’ll get an up-close look at those who fought in secret, and you can step inside a reconstructed bunker to see how it was set up for the young German soldiers stationed there in 1945.

Everyone is welcome to stop by. We have coffee brewing and look forward to showing you the new exhibition and our other new initiatives.

You learn a lot

It's well worth a visit. You'll learn a lot about fishing and the history of Hvide Sande. You can look at the fish in the aquariums. Very nice.

Interactive for young and old

A living museum where you can learn a lot about fish and fishing/fishing trips. It's interactive for young and old, whether it's on the bridge of a fishing boat or in the cabin. You can also admire and touch fish and crabs.

Very nice museum

Very nice museum about the history of fishing, seafaring etc. The aquarium is also worth a visit.
