When Vedersø Badehotel applied for a liquor license in 1936, Kaj Munk joined the fight. Among other things, he wrote an appeal to the residents of Vedersø: "We have no need for a liquor license in Vedersø. We do not want it." The priest managed to persuade the residents, and the hotel did not get the license.
But as the picture shows, he was not a teetotaler himself.
