The Kaj Munk Drama
Stonemason and sculptor Torvald Westergaard (1901-1988) was fascinated by Kaj Munk and created several busts and sculptures of him. "The Kaj Munk Drama" or "Providence", as the bronze sculpture is also called, shows Kaj Munk's face in the front, behind it the two dictators Mussolini and Hitler and above them all is "Providence".
The sculpture was created in 1938, before the outbreak of the Second World War.
During the occupation, the work was buried as Torvald Westergaard was afraid that it appeared too critical of the occupying forces.
