The water mill
A visit to Bundsbæk Mølle is like traveling back in time. The idyllic old watermill from 1843 spins merrily as the water splashes down over the mill wheel and inside, the cogwheels that grind the millstones grind the grain into flour squeak and creak. The volunteer millers are happy to tell you about the structure of the mill and its history. In the old smithy, Vestjysk Smedelaug works at the furnace. Here you can experience how everything from nails to horseshoes take shape over the red-hot furnace, and the sound of the hammer against the iron is almost melodic.
