Bundsbæk Nature Park
Take a walk along the wooden bridge in Bundsbæk Nature Park, a unique natural area. See the wild orchids and lizards sunning themselves on the wooden bridge. Listen to birdsong and buzzing insects in the willow thickets.
All year round there is something to experience in the area, but especially in early summer, when the orchids bloom, Bundsbæk is worth a visit.
Bundsbæk Nature Park offers beautiful, exotic and rare orchids. Orchids are known for their often very beautiful flowers, and if you study the Danish orchids a little closer, you will find that some of them can easily measure up to the exotic species. There are five species of orchids in Bundsbæk Nature Park. Every year, the number is recorded, and one year, for example, 1,276 spotted cuckoo orchids and 20 flesh-colored cuckoo orchids were found.
The cuckoo herb
Spotted cuckoo grass grows to 15-50 cm. It has 4-10 leaves, which are erect to prostrate and relatively narrow. The leaves rarely reach above the flower axis. The upper side of the leaves is usually spotted, but plants with unspotted leaves are not uncommon. On the underside, the leaves are gray-green. The flower color ranges from almost white to pink to purple, with purple loops and dots.
