Songs from Hvide Sande" - Sunset concert by Lyngvig Fyr

Come and experience Lyngvig Fyr and Hvide Sande's story told in a whole new way!

The most beautiful backdrop is set for a very special concert experience when Silje and Kennet with their Songs from Hvide Sande play and tell about Hvide Sande's history at a beautiful sunset concert at Lyngvig Fyr on Thursday, July 27 at 19:30.

Experience a captivating storytelling with new songs written about Lyngvig Fyr, Abelines Gaard, the lock, and nature and life on the rugged west coast, while you sit right in the middle of the story of exactly what the songs are about, and enjoy the view of the North Sea, the dunes and Lyngvig Fyr in the sunset. The concert takes place "right in the middle of history", as one of the most beautiful songs in the collection - "Kast Lys Over Land" - is about the history of Lyngvig Lighthouse.

At the concert, you will experience the stories from Holmsland Klit told in a completely new and touching way as the two musicians and songwriters put sound and lyrics to the soul of the area and life between fjord and sea. The songs are beautifully tied together by singer Silje Holtan, who empathetically tells all the exciting, funny and powerful stories that have inspired the songs.

There will be songbooks for the audience to follow along with the beautiful lyrics and maybe sing along a bit yourself.

About "Songs from Hvide Sande"

Behind "Songs from Hvide Sande" is the musician couple Silje Holtan & Kennet Lauridsen, who have written the new songs about Hvide Sande and the area's unique history, the beautiful nature and the memories and stories of the locals. The lyrics are inspired by conversations with local residents who remember Abeline and were there when it all started with the building of the locks and the town of Hvide Sande.

Practical information

• Date: Thursday, July 17 at 19:30
• The concert costs 125 incl. admission to Lyngvig Fyr(NOTE: limited number of seats)
• The concert is organized in a collaboration between "Sange fra Hvide Sande" and Ringkøbing Fjord Museer.
• Drinks will be available for purchase in the Lighthouse Master's Residence, which will be open all evening.
• The concert will be held at the foot of Lyngvig Fyr and seating will be limited. The audience is therefore encouraged to bring their own blankets, festival chairs or folding chairs for the occasion.
