    The address is Holmsland Klitvej 109, 6960 Hvide Sande.

    There are two parking lots at Lyngvig Fyr, and parking is free of charge.

    1 - 2 hours. Your visit can be combined with a beautiful walk by the sea.

    Lyngvig Fyr is temporarily closed.


    It is still possible for guests to enjoy the lighthouse from the dunes and experience the stories told in the area. It's also possible to take the kids on a nature adventure or let them play on the large maritime-inspired playground.


    The lighthouse keeper's residence with shop and café is open with the opening hours below.


    January 1-5: open 11am-4pm

    January 6-9: closed

    January 10-31: open Tuesday-Sunday 11am-4pm

    February 1 - March 31: open every day 11am-4pm


    April 1 - December 31

    Due to the uncertainties surrounding the renovation of
    Lyngvig Fyr , opening hours for the rest of the year are uncertain. We will update here as soon as we know anything. However, the Lighthouse keeper's residence is open.


    Admission to the Lighthouse keeper's residence is free.

dogs

  • Can I bring my dog on Lyngvig Fyr?

    Dogs on a leash are very welcome in the area at Lyngvig Fyr. However, please note that dogs are not allowed in the lighthouse itself, as there is not much space. Dogs are welcome to enter the shop, but if there are many visitors, we recommend that dogs stay outside. There are hooks for the dog leash at the lighthouse keeper's house.

Children and young people

  • I am going to visit Lyngvig Fyr with children, what are my options?

    You are welcome to bring strollers, prams, etc. There is a paved footpath from the parking lot to the lighthouse keeper's house and over to the lighthouse. Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring strollers, prams, etc. in the lighthouse itself.
    In addition, there is a really nice nature playground for children to play on.

Disability issues

  • I have a disability, what are my options?

    There are special spaces in the parking lot at Lyngvig Fyr . There are paved paths from the parking lot to the lighthouse keeper's house and into the lighthouse keeper's house and across to the lighthouse. However, there is no wheelchair access to the lighthouse. There is access to a disabled toilet at Lyngvig Fyr.

Food and drink

  • Can you eat and drink at Lyngvig Fyr?

    Yes, the café serves coffee, hot chocolate, delicious cakes, a light lunch dish and ice cream. The café follows the lighthouse opening hours.

    You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. You can enjoy your food in two indoor packed lunch rooms and outdoors where you will find several tables and benches.

Clothing

  • Do I need to bring special clothing?

    Lyngvig Fyr is set in beautiful open countryside, so dress for the weather, it can be chilly when the sun is not shining.

Smoking

  • Can I smoke on Lyngvig Fyr?

    Smoking is allowed at the lighthouse keeper's house, but not at the lighthouse. Please note that you are in a dune landscape and there may be a risk of fire.
    Please take care of nature and use the ashtrays provided.
