Songs from Hvide Sande - Concert at Fiskeriets Hus d. 27/4 2023

The stage is set for a very special evening when Sange fra Hvide Sande plays and tells about Hvide Sande's
history at Fiskeriets Hus on Thursday, April 27 at 19:30.

Behind "Songs from Hvide Sande" is the musician couple Silje Holtan & Kennet Lauridsen, who have written the songs about Hvide Sande and the area's unique history, the beautiful nature and the memories and stories of the locals. The concert is also a storytelling about Hvide Sande and the special events, places, landmarks and personalities that the songs are about.
Listen to the songs about Lyngvig Fyr, Vesterhavets Port, Olines Trøstesange, the rescue shipwreck in 1951 and life and nature on the rugged west coast, where the sea gives and the sea takes. Hear also Livadiavej about the many streets in the town named after stranded ships and the brand new festive song Wedding in Bjerregaard: a fun story about how they held a wedding feast at Klitten in the very old days.
Of course, we will also hear about Abeline and Sandflugt; how the landscape is shaped by the wind and the sea and the work of planting helmets in the dunes.

At Fiskeriets Hus , the concert takes place "right in the middle of history" with a view of the lock, the fjord, the memorial stone and the old photos and exhibitions about when it all started.
The concert is also a singing evening, where there will be songbooks for the audience, so you can follow the fine texts and maybe sing a little yourself.
