Lecture - Mercy Ships: Modern hospital ships

A story about modern hospital ships sailing to the world's hotspots (war, hunger and distress) and helping the population in need.

The evening's speaker is professor and marine and civil engineer Hans Otto Kristensen, who will talk about the project "conversion of a Danish Great Belt ferry into a modern hospital ship".

He will also talk about a ship ahead of its time (NOAH's ARK) and his involvement in the design of Danish warships, lifeboats, merchant ships and much more.

The entrance fee of DKK 100.00 includes coffee/tea and cake.

You learn a lot

It's well worth a visit. You'll learn a lot about fishing and the history of Hvide Sande. You can look at the fish in the aquariums. Very nice.

Interactive for young and old

A living museum where you can learn a lot about fish and fishing/fishing trips. It's interactive for young and old, whether it's on the bridge of a fishing boat or in the cabin. You can also admire and touch fish and crabs.

Very nice museum

Very nice museum about the history of fishing, seafaring etc. The aquarium is also worth a visit.
