16. Shell casings

While the Ringelnatter (Adder) radar station at Houvig fortress was state-of-the-art, the Kryle gun emplacement was entirely different. 

As at many other German Army shore batteries, at Houvig fortress, the occupying forces used obsolete pre-WW1 French field cannons. These shell casings were made to fit the old French cannons.
