The story of Provstgaards Jagthus
In 1993, Ringkøbing Fjord Museum bought Provstgaards Jagthus, which is located close to Pumping Station North. The house is adjacent to the large nature restoration project around Skjern Å and provides rich opportunities to get an insight into the landscape and history, from before the river was straightened and remeandered. Today, the house consists of the old main house and "the nice living room".
In 1996 the house was restored and the roof and external cladding were replaced. The exterior of the house is clad in clapboard and the original thatched roof has been replaced with an eternit roof.
In 2018, the small fisherman's house was restored again, this time it was a thorough restoration that has made the house ready to welcome guests in 2018.
