Fiddler music at Fyrmesterboligen
September 22, 2024 at 14:00 - September 22, 2024 at 15:30
Experience traditional fiddler music at Lyngvig Fyr. Fiddler music has its roots in Danish agricultural culture, where fiddlers played for dancing. They were storytellers and through music they told stories about Denmark, about sorrow and joy, about holidays and celebrations. The music played on this day is primarily from the period 1730 - 1850.
The fiddlers at Lyngvig Fyr this Sunday will be Jens Peder Knudsen on double bass, Anders Løager on violin and Jan Ilsø on accordion.
The concert is free of charge. The fiddlers perform at Lyngvig Fyr, even if the lighthouse is closed. The concert takes place in the courtyard in good weather, and will take shelter in rainy weather.
