8. Schu-mine

A so-called Schu-mine (German “Schützenmine”) from the bunkers at Houvig fortified village. This type of anti-personnel mine was produced to injure ground forces, i.e. foot soldiers.

The mines are described as causing more serious injuries than bullets. They were designed to cause horrible injuries to arms and legs, and infected wounds.
