Light was of great importance to the Vikings, as dangers could lurk in the darkness. In the Viking Age, all daylight hours were used for daily chores, and when darkness fell, the family would gather around the fireplace and candle to tell legends and myths.

At Bork Vikingehavn you can make your own beeswax candle. Take it home to keep the darkness of autumn at bay for a while - just like the Vikings.
