Winter in the Viking Age
March 6, 11:00 am - March 6, 15:00 pm
Back in the Viking Age, when the winter chill set in, the Vikings took shelter in their houses and wrapped themselves in leather blankets to keep warm, as the hearth alone wasn't enough to counteract the cold from leaks in the longhouse. They cooked with the remaining raw materials and passed the time by sharpening their tools, making clothes, braiding ropes and repairing broken sails, among other things.
