September's cool winds are blowing Bork Vikingehavn, and the Vikings are just beginning their preparations for a long and dark winter. If you visit the Vikings in September, you can see them cooking, working on their crafts or maybe it's the day they work on their ships.

Experience Viking craftsmanship
The Vikings were skilled at tanning animal skins and leather was an indispensable material in the Viking Age. Experience the Vikings working with leather and get an impression of everything the Vikings used leather for. You can also pick up the tools and try working with the leather yourself, and you can take home a great souvenir from the Viking Age.

Vikings cook seasonal produce over a fire
A large part of the Vikings' daily life is spent preparing food. Seasonal produce must be gathered and used or preserved for the winter. Bread is baked in the longhouse's large pit oven, and soups and porridge are simmered over the long fire. Meet the Vikings who are cooking and you can also bake your own flatbread over a fire.

Shoot with bow and arrow
Autumn is also the time for hunting, and the Vikings practiced their bow and arrow skills so they could hit the bull's-eye when wild boar and deer came within range. If you're up for a challenge, you can also grab your bow and see if you can hit the mark.
