10. Shooting instructors’ board

An artillery firing chart from Houvig fortress. The chart was used to calculate TOT (Time on Target, German “Zeit am Ziel”). 

 Using the chart, the commander could calculate precisely when each gun had to fire so that the projectiles would hit an enemy vessel in the same place at the same time.

A strike of this kind hit enemy vessels hard, and they sank.
