20. Stick mines

German WWII stick mines. As opposed to tank mines that were designed to damage tanks, stick mines like these were anti-personnel mines, i.e. designed to injure people.

These stick mines were discovered near Ribe. They were sat up in the marshes on wooden posts in a long row beyond the dykes. Mines could be connected in series or to a fixed point and triggered by a tripwire.
