Photo exhibition with Skjern citizens

Ringkøbing Fjord Museum's collection is rich in photographs of people who have lived in what we today call Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality.

The volunteers behind "Art Exhibitions at the Mill" have, in collaboration with the museum, focused on a number of well-known Skjern citizens in the 1980s. All photographs were taken by former photographer Åge Knak Nygård, who for a number of years immortalized both local Skjern residents and the life of the town, and he subsequently donated his photos to the museum.

The old drying room at Skjern Vindmølle is currently adorned with his portraits of local business people, politicians, craftsmen and other personalities who have all left their mark on Skjern.

Visit the photo exhibition at Skjern Vindmølle in October. It is open every Sunday and October 16-22. All days at 13-17.

Admission is free of charge.
