Come and visit Skjern Vindmølle summer!

Although the beautiful Dutch windmill stands without its sails, local volunteers—trained in the intricacies of windmills—are ready to show visitors around and share its fascinating history.

Learn, among other things, about the hard work involved in grinding grain into flour in the past, and head up to the mill loft, where you can look down at the star-shaped ceiling and see the large, freestanding wooden gears that drive the mills. It’s easy to imagine just how cramped the miller’s working conditions were.

An art exhibition will be on display throughout the summer in the mill’s adjacent, atmospheric rooms.
