Winter is just around the corner!
The Vikings are busy preparing!
When you visit Bork Vikingehavn in November, you can explore the houses and experience how the Vikings prepare for Christmas and winter. It's been a good summer and a good harvest, so in Langhuset you can cozy up around the fireplace while cooking - and of course there are tastings for those who stop by.
In the houses in Hedeby you can experience Viking crafts and handicrafts, and if you like, you can weave your own yew wreath from willow. The Vikings used yeast wreaths for brewing beer - you can take yours home and use it as a decoration during the winter months. You can also make a beeswax candle to light up the dark evenings.
The Viking harbor is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10-15.
Children have free admission and dogs on leashes are welcome!
